Healthcare Professional Sought for Remote Position

The role of General Practitioner in a remote area offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the delivery of healthcare services.

This position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team that manages client care throughout the lifespan, treats illness, promotes wellbeing, provides education and training, and encourages community health action to contribute to better health outcomes.

Integration of Indigenous cultural imperatives will be essential in the delivery of healthcare in the context of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • A broad-based primary care experience in a rural or remote setting is ideal, particularly in Indigenous health.
  • Accreditation or experience as a GP supervisor is advantageous.
  • Holds specialist General Practitioner registration with Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
