Empowerment Coordinator

As a skilled and compassionate Employment Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals with mental health conditions to achieve meaningful employment. This is an opportunity to work within an evidence-based service, make a lasting impact, and contribute to the creation of inclusive communities.
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of participants, providing tailored support, and helping them achieve their employment goals. Your expertise will enable you to deliver services using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Model, a world-renowned approach to employment for people with mental illness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver vocational profiling, job search, resume and interview preparation, placement, post-placement support, and ongoing support to participants
- Strive to exceed individual and team performance targets, delivering sustainable employment outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the service
- Build strong partnerships with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities
- Work collaboratively with NDIS and community providers to ensure wrap-around supports for participants' wellbeing
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Relevant Certificate III or higher qualification in Employment Services, Community Services, Mental Health, or a related field
Experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants, their supports, and employers
Business development skills and local employer connections
Current driver's licence and your own vehicle
Ability to obtain all required clearances (NDIS, Working with Children, Police Check)
