Senior Research Leadership Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and develop exceptional performance in healthcare research. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation, excellence, and growth within our organization.
About the RoleAs a Deputy Director of Research, you will be responsible for developing and implementing operational plans that align with our organizational goals. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to build strong relationships and provide high-quality research services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and manage the Research Governance Unit budget, working with the Research Director to identify new revenue streams.
- Manage the secretariat support of the Human Research Ethics Committee, the Animal Ethics Committee, and Institutional Biosafety Committee, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Tertiary qualifications in the medical, biomedical, or life sciences field.
- Extensive experience managing administrative units and substantial management experience in a research institution.
- Sound knowledge of Australian law and standards relating to research activity.
