We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Spatial Analyst. As part of our dynamic consulting team, you will work closely with leading experts to deliver high-quality GIS services across a wide range of projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with 1–3 years of industry experience who are eager to collaborate with top-notch specialists and fast-track their geospatial career.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis, as well as excellent cartographic skills and the ability to create visually appealing maps that meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with consulting staff to highlight the benefits of GIS analysis for client outcomes
  • Creating custom maps that adhere to corporate branding and client specifications
  • Supporting geo-processing tasks, including complex spatial queries for data extraction and map display
  • Demonstrating expertise in cartography and contributing to the development of Urbis' map templates and styles
  • Assisting in data creation, maintenance, and geocoding for project-specific and corporate spatial data needs

About this role:

  • Tertiary qualification in Geographic Information Systems (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and A.G.O.L, as well as Microsoft desktop suite
  • Experience working with various spatial data types, including creation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of good cartographic practice and ability to apply it
