Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Automation Specialist to join our high-performing agile home lending development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and automation, with a proven ability to plan, execute, and coordinate testing efforts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure quality issues and defects are properly identified, documented, tracked, and resolved.
About the Role- Serve as the testing expert for our agile teams, providing timely and valuable feedback on user stories.
- Review user stories to provide detailed and well-structured test plans.
- Create detailed test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
- Configure test environments, identify, document, and thoroughly test bugs.
- Derive and create thorough test scenarios, translating requirements into actionable steps.
- Work with product owners and PMs to maintain and prioritize product backlogs.
- Participate in backlog grooming, sprint stand-ups, planning, review, and retrospective meetings.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for stories to ensure business use cases are met.
- Review test cases and scenarios with the product team to cover requirements 100% and add additional test cases as needed.
- Ensure QA standards and guidelines are adhered to, meeting testing commitments.
- Escalate outstanding issues and testing risks to the QA Lead or Manager.
- Identify opportunities to improve QA practices and contribute to management's decision-making process.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in software QA, test case management, defect management tools, and software development processes.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and minimum 1-year hands-on experience with code-based testing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and solid organizational skills.
- Good decision-making skills, self-administrative abilities, and strong analytical skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Estimated annual salary: $85,000 - $110,000 based on industry standards and location.
