With an established international network and innovative technology, this role involves maintaining day-to-day customs clearance functions and processes in line with company performance expectations, standards, and KPIs. Ensuring compliance with relevant government bodies is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting customs valuation, classification, and final entry lodgement
  • Determining and tracking duties and taxes payable, processing payments on behalf of clients
  • Applying for tariff concessions, preparing refund/duty drawbacks
  • Liaising with clients to provide advice on tariff classification, rates of duty, tariff concession orders, methods of valuation, and origin requirements of the Customs Act
  • Remaining CPD compliant and up-to-date with ABF and DAFF industry changes and trends
  • Providing support with transportation coordination and ad hoc freight forwarding tasks as required
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

To succeed, you will have recent experience in a similar role with a proven history of working within Australian Customs processes and protocols. A thorough understanding of documentation and regulatory requirements is crucial. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels are essential.

A strong time management skillset and attention to detail are necessary for this role. You will be part of a dynamic team-oriented forwarder who values the skills you bring to the table.
