Boart Longyear is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic/Drill Fitter to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our surface drill rigs and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repairs to surface drill rigs and associated equipment
  • Maintenance and repairs to heavy and light vehicles
  • Completion of preventative maintenance tasks and records
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels of spare parts
  • Time and maintenance record keeping
  • Work order creation
Requirements
  • Solid previous experience carrying out drill and/or truck maintenance
  • Knowledge and understanding of electronic control systems
  • Qualifications in related field i.e. diesel or mechanical fitter certification
  • Solid background carrying out maintenance and repairs to light and heavy vehicles
  • Fire-suppression qualification - not essential but highly advantageous
  • Basic computing skills
  • Current and valid driver's license
  • National police clearance (less than 6 months old), or willing to obtain one
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to safety
  • Team player
