Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Project Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to assist with capital works and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate civil infrastructure projects from start to finish, collaborating with project managers.
  • Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
  • Support procurement processes by preparing documents and participating in tender evaluations.
  • Assist with contract administration, monitoring contractor performance, processing variations, and maintaining records.
  • Prepare cost and schedule updates for project reporting.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
  • Evaluate projects against relevant legislation, standards, and policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • A Class C Driver's Licence.
  • A WHS Construction Induction (White Card).
  • Relevant work placement, internship, or industry experience in civil construction or infrastructure delivery.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, and design codes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear technical documents.
  • Practical problem-solving skills applied in engineering contexts.
