Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the education and development of physiotherapy students at The University of Notre Dame Australia.

About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced clinical facilitators to provide support and mentorship to our students while they are on clinical placements. As a Clinical Facilitator, you will act as a university representative, supervising and guiding students in their clinical learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and Support Students: Provide individualized guidance and support to students while they are on clinical placement, ensuring they have a positive and effective learning experience.
  • Identify and Address Student Needs: Recognize students who may be struggling and work with the clinical education team and site supervisors to develop strategies to support them.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer constructive verbal and written feedback to students on their performance, helping them to identify areas for improvement.
  • Attend Meetings: Participate in regular meetings with the Director of Clinical Education and other stakeholders to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Be a qualified physiotherapist with an undergraduate degree or higher and be registered with AHPRA.
  • Experience: Have significant relevant clinical experience and a proven track record of supervising and mentoring students.
  • Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster high levels of collegiality and empathy with students.

Compensation Package:
