Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Knowledge Lawyer to join our national Legal Excellence & Risk section, based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Senior Knowledge Lawyer - Insurance, you will work closely with our Client Solutions, Information Technology, Business Development and Learning & Development teams.

  • Provide professional support to lawyers and partners within the national Insurance section and the broader firm.

  • Draft precedents and promote their development and use.

  • Work on projects to improve knowledge management and automation.

  • Prepare training materials and assist with delivery.

  • Maintain knowledge repositories and ensure compliance with our style guide.

This is a permanent, full-time or part-time position (4 days per week), offering hybrid working arrangements with modern office spaces and flexible home working options.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years post-admission experience in insurance law, preferably from a defendant law firm.

  • Excellent document drafting and contract review skills, with attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • The ability to prioritize tasks autonomously.

  • A keen interest in knowledge sharing, project management, precedent development and style compliance.

Prior experience with intranet and knowledge database content, document automation and PowerPoint is desirable.
