
Survival Skills Counsellor

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to deliver supportive services across North and North West Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist clinical, support and advocacy services to victim-survivors of sexual assault.
- Engage in outreach services and educational program delivery.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in counselling, social work or psychology, or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the impacts and dynamics of sexual assault and experience in trauma-informed counselling.
- Experience working with adult, young people and/or children who have been impacted by sexual assault and violence.
- Crisis intervention skills and ability to effectively intervene, prioritise and manage crisis situations.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and capacity to meet the diverse needs of clients.
- Ability to acquire a working knowledge of Tasmanian legislation and policies pertaining to sexual assault, child protection and family violence.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe organisation and promoting the rights of individuals.
