About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our comprehensive cancer treatment centre in Rockingham on a casual basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional personalized cancer care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complex needs of patients undergoing radiation therapy, providing education and support to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor and administer medication and intravenous infusions, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Conduct patient assessments, observations, and education, including inserting and caring for peripheral and central access devices.
  • Assist doctors with procedures, providing pre and post-procedure care and education.
  • Support a high-performance culture that delivers quality patient care services through a patient-centric and collaborative approach.
  • Maintain and update patients' written and electronic records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Provide emotional support to patients, families, and carers, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess a strong background in oncology nursing, with experience in radiotherapy, IV cannulation, CVAD management, and chemotherapeutic administration. You will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work successfully within a team structure.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Knowledge and experience in oncology nursing.
  • Experience in a high acuity setting.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team structure.
  • Computer skills.
  • CVAD management skills.
  • IV Cannulation skills.
