We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our comprehensive cancer treatment centre in Rockingham on a casual basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional personalized cancer care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the complex needs of patients undergoing radiation therapy and provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Monitor and administer medication and intravenous infusions, and perform patient assessments and observations.
- Insert and care for peripheral and central access devices, and assist doctors with procedures and provide pre and post-procedure care and education.
- Support a high-performance culture that delivers quality patient care services through a patient-centric and collaborative approach.
- Maintain and update patients' written and electronic records, and provide emotional support to patients, families, and carers.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in oncology nursing, with experience in radiotherapy, IV cannulation, CVAD management, and chemotherapeutic administration. You will also need to have advanced communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work successfully within a team structure.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:- Current AHPRA registration.
- Knowledge and experience in oncology nursing.
- Experience in a high acuity setting.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work successfully within a team structure.
- Computer skills.
- CVAD management skills.
- IV Cannulation skills.
