Mechanical Design Lead

As a mechanical design expert, you will oversee the development of cutting-edge equipment for the drilling and tunnelling industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align engineering objectives and drive project success.
  • Manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope.
  • Provide technical expertise on complex challenges, including FEA and system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (postgraduate or leadership training preferred).
  • 5+ years' experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in drilling or vacuum trucks.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD, FEA software, and project management tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in hydraulic systems and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
