About the Roles

The Prosecuting Solicitor Pool will operate for a specified period. Recommended candidates will be eligible for future temporary opportunities. Positions are available across various metropolitan and regional locations.

  • Multiple short-term and long-term temporary contracts and vacancies are available at the LE2 and LE3 classification levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Prosecution Services Expertise

Conduct prosecution files with varying complexity, working under limited supervision and direction of a senior prosecutor. Provide less-complex advocacy services and adjudicate accordingly.

Senior Prosecution Services Expertise

Manage prosecution files across the full range of complexity, providing negotiation, advocacy, and adjudication services. This role requires an unrestricted practicing certificate.

Special Conditions:
  • Hold a valid Australian work eligibility status and undergo a criminal history check.
  • Be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Essential Requirements:

A degree in law and eligibility to be admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia with a restricted/unrestricted practicing certificate.

Remuneration Package:
  • LE2: $81,667 - $92,627
  • LE3: $94,967 - $102,518
