Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Support Professional to join our team. As a Teacher Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers, students, and parents with learning activities and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Display respect and empathy for students with high-level needs and maintain confidentiality, tact, and reliability when interacting with students and their families.
  • Supervise small groups of students, undertaking specific learning activities designed by a teacher, ensuring the teacher is available for support if needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes that promote student success.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to safeguarding children and young people, including the Safeguarding code of conduct.
  • Lead reading groups, maths groups, and other activities, gathering relevant resources in cooperation with teachers and aligned with curriculum, syllabi, and educational policies.
Essential Requirements:
  • Hold a Cert IV in Education Support or equivalent experience.
  • Support the delivery of literacy and numeracy intervention programs throughout the school.
  • Contribute to differentiated teaching, learning, and assessment plans offered to students.
  • Assist with preparing resources aligned with the Literacy and Numeracy Intervention program.
  • Help collect and collate data to assess student progress in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Demonstrate ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold current First Aid and CPR certificates or be willing to obtain them.
  • Have a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one.
