Professional Heavy Vehicle Driving Instructor

About You- You hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent, and a Certificate IV in Road Transport (TL141310) - Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction.
- You possess a Medium Rigid Licence and a Certificate III in Driving Operations (TL131216).
- You have knowledge of Heavy Vehicle and Passenger Transport legislation or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
- You have knowledge of Safety Legislation or a passion to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
- You possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
The Driver Instructor position involves the safe and effective delivery of Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction, alongside training delivery of TLI31216 Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus).
You will work with our partnered Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to ensure training plans are completed and delivered within required time frames, in accordance with appropriate standards and legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing driving training (bus) to prepare trainees for heavy vehicle license upgrade (from C class to MR/HR, as applicable).
- Preparing lessons and providing instruction and teaching practical skills related to all aspects of driving.
- Coordinating and delivering a professional Driver induction training programme (TLI31216 Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus).
- Driver education and performance development.
- Performing on-road driver assessments.
- Ensuring Training and Safety records are maintained.
