We are seeking an experienced professional to take on a key role within a federal government agency.

Job Summary

This mid-senior level contract position requires strong experience in data and analytics projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results and will be responsible for managing complex requirements traceability frameworks, eliciting and analysing business and technical requirements, and facilitating workshops and meetings with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive requirements traceability frameworks that link project deliverables to data outcomes.
  • Elicit, analyse and document business and technical requirements for data and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Map and document data flows, data lineage, and business processes to provide context for requirements.
  • Facilitate collaborative workshops, meetings and working groups to validate requirements with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Review data and analytics solution designs to ensure alignment with business expectations.
  • Support the implementation of data models, analytics platforms and reporting solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in data and analytics projects.
  • Strong background in data validation, testing and quality assurance across analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, document and translate data flows, models and business processes into technical requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, data mapping and data lineage analysis.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with experience across Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
  • Experience working in data analytics or data warehouse teams, delivering dashboards, reports or analytical products.
  • Exposure to SAS Viya 4 platform.
Additional Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory.
  • The ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance is essential.
