Lead Clinician for Aboriginal Mental Health

Job Summary:
">We are seeking a seasoned senior manager to lead our Aboriginal Mental Health services. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with and earning the trust and respect of Aboriginal people, communities, and organizations.
About the Role:
">The Service Director Aboriginal Mental Health will be responsible for delivering culturally responsive services to improve the recovery and safety of Aboriginal patients in contact with NSW Forensic Mental Health Services.
Key Responsibilities:
">- Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement culturally appropriate care models across community, court, secure-inpatient, and custodial settings to address health disparities for Aboriginal people.
- Develop and strengthen the Aboriginal Mental Health Workforce by fostering partnerships that support patients' progress in their recovery, cultural reconnection, and community integration.
Requirements:
">- Must be a person of Aboriginal descent with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal people, communities, and organizations.
- Hold qualifications and possess experience in mental health care, preferably in leadership or management roles.
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare management or equivalent experience in mental health as a clinician or a combination of both study and work experience in the above fields.
