Key Commercial Property Underwriting Role

The primary objective of this position is to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sustainable profit growth for the organization by providing expert advice, guidance, and technical support within their assigned portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing in-depth expertise to provide insightful solutions across schemes and facilities business.
  • Establishing strong working relationships with customers, agency networks, and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting strategic development, sharing knowledge, and best practices.
  • Maintaining high standards of underwriting activity quality.
  • Enhancing industry knowledge and staying up-to-date on legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Delivering training to improve agent knowledge base and enhance the organization's proposition.
  • Contributing to ad-hoc projects to add value across the organization.
About You

To succeed as a Commercial Property Underwriter, you will be an insurance professional with proven property underwriting experience. Additionally, you should possess:

  • A commercial background will be advantageous.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing portfolios.
  • Strong customer/broker relationship skills and focus.
  • Broad understanding of property-specific underwriting principles.
  • Proven knowledge of relevant market conditions for specific class/portfolio.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A keen interest in data analytics and the ability to apply results within the business.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
