About the Opportunity

This dynamic role will see you providing vital support to patients and their families in a fast-paced environment.

You will have the opportunity to work with healthcare staff from various disciplines to support patients and their families with discharge planning, gaining and building on core social work values and skills in areas of aged care, stroke, trauma, crisis intervention, and grief and loss.

The successful applicant will be working in a well-supported environment, valued for ongoing professional development and opportunities to grow as social workers.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong time management skills, prioritisation, and the ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to patients and their families in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with healthcare staff to support patients and their families with discharge planning.
  • Gain and build on core social work values and skills in areas of aged care, stroke, trauma, crisis intervention, and grief and loss.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills and prioritisation.
Requirements:
  • A minimum bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
