MUST BE LOCAL RESIDNET LIVING IN KARRATHA

We are currently seeking aTrades Assistantthat will be based in our well-equipped workshop in the Karratha LIA. Working alongside our passionate and knowledgeable team, you will gain experience in working on LVs, trucks, rail and mobile plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As aTrades Assistant, you will:

  • Assist with general workshop housekeeping and upkeep of equipment.
  • Support tradespeople with mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform basic repairs and servicing of vehicles and equipment under supervision.
  • Change tyres on light and heavy vehicles.
  • Pick up and deliver parts and consumables as required.
  • Conduct stocktakes of filters and spare parts.
  • Wash vehicles and heavy mobile equipment in the designated washpad area.
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload deliveries.

About You

  • Mechanically minded with a good understanding of hand tools.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality and cleanliness in the workplace.
  • Good communication skills and a motivated, reliable attitude.
  • Must reside in the City of Karratha – no relocation, housing or FIFO options are available.

Requirements

  • Valid C Class Driver's Licence (Heavy Rigid – HR licence highly regarded).
  • High Risk Work Licence (Forklift) desirable.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
