Position Overview
SeaLink Marine & Tourism is excited to announce an opening for a Permanent Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant at our picturesque Kingfisher Bay Resort, located on the stunning Fraser Island. This role is designed for individuals who prefer to live off the island and commute from Hervey Bay. Our resort is committed to sustainability and offers a remarkable setting for those dedicated to providing outstanding guest experiences.
As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guest accommodations are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. This position offers part-time work of up to 76 hours per fortnight, with a competitive hourly rate of $29.39. You will be scheduled to work across a flexible 7-day roster, typically 4 to 5 days each week.
Please be aware that commuting via the barge from River Heads is necessary for your scheduled shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cleaning duties in guest rooms, which include making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking amenities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all resort areas, including public spaces, hallways, and communal areas.
- Follow stringent safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a pristine and secure environment for both guests and staff.
- Manage lost and found items in accordance with resort guidelines.
- Assist guests with inquiries and requests in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure efficient room turnovers and the upkeep of public areas.
- Promptly report any maintenance issues or damages for timely resolution.
- Adhere to established waste disposal procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in housekeeping within a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
- Physical endurance and the capability to lift and transport cleaning equipment and supplies, especially in warm weather conditions.
- Willingness to work on weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- A dedication to upholding high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
