**Inventory Management Role for a Global Commodities Leader**

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to join our team at Glencore, one of the world's largest diversified natural resource companies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies to optimize inventory investment, minimize cash flow, and stockholding costs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assess current inventory levels, predict future demand, and plan procurement to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment, efficient scheduling, and synergies in material supply to support mining operations.
  • Identify and assess risks and inefficiencies related to supplier reliability, focusing on mitigating negative impacts on stock holding.
  • Oversee stock management based on material groups, employing various stockholding strategies.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators, such as turnover rates, stockouts, and excess inventory, and analyze data to make informed decisions.

**Requirements:**

  • Applicable diploma or certificate (a degree is an advantage).
  • 3-5 years of experience in complex inventory management.
  • High computer literacy with large inventory systems (we utilize SAP and Coupa).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Solid data analysis and problem-solving skills.
