AV Technical Specialist

Overview:

Our organization is seeking a skilled AV professional to manage and maintain the lifecycle of audiovisual installations across multiple campuses. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to deliver innovative technology solutions that enhance learning, meeting, and event spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for AV system selection, procurement, and installation to ensure modern and user-friendly technology.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver technology solutions that meet organizational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct thorough site evaluations to identify AV technology gaps and propose upgrades or enhancements to improve overall performance.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including technical configurations, installation manuals, and user guides.
  • Manage the asset lifecycle of AV systems, ensuring proper maintenance and disposal.
  • Provide hands-on support for AV-related incidents and requests, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.

About You:

We seek a detail-oriented, solutions-focused AV professional with strong technical expertise and excellent stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar AV engineering or technician role, with hands-on expertise in enterprise-grade AV technologies.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in an AV engineering or technician role.
  • Hands-on expertise with Crestron, Extron, AMX, Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, and lecture theatre setups.
  • Strong vendor engagement and relationship management experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
