Excavation Operations Assistant

The Excavation Operations Assistant will be responsible for operating a range of equipment including Utes, Excavators, Trucks, Tractors, Buggies, Scissor Lifts, Bobcats, Front end Loader, Backhoe, manual and mechanical tools. They will also assist the Burial Team with continuous improvement initiatives and projects within the grounds.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide support and assistance to other operational teams as needed. They must also be able to contribute to a safety-first approach, prioritizing the well-being of themselves and their colleagues.

A competitive remuneration package is offered, including 16 RDOs per year, Employee Health, Wellbeing and Assistance Programs, uniform and PPE provided, and plant and equipment training upon completion of a 6-month probationary period.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about working in a fast-paced, team environment and possesses strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a current Australian driver's licence, MR licence and machinery tickets preferred, and well-developed skills in the safe and competent operation of plant and equipment.
