Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood professional to join our team as a Room Leader. As a key member of our education team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the learning experience for young children.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to implement engaging and inclusive learning programs that cater to the diverse needs of children aged 0-5 years. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and deliver high-quality educational outcomes that meet the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).

You will be responsible for designing and implementing pedagogical approaches that support children's learning and development outcomes. Your expertise in curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting will enable you to make informed decisions about program development and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and model effective pedagogical approaches to support children's learning and development outcomes.
  • Design and implement engaging learning programs using knowledge of content, curriculum, children's needs, assessment and reporting requirements.
  • Champion positive and meaningful relationships with children.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, evaluate and enhance learning outcomes for children.
  • Develop engaging and inclusive learning environments that reflect the strengths, interests and needs of all children.
  • Establish and maintain respectful collaborative partnerships with families to assess and support children's learning and well-being.
  • Contribute to a professional and positive work culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved).
  • Have a valid Working With Children Check.
  • Have an approved First Aid certificate.
  • Have a sound understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years.
  • Possess effective programming and customer service skills.
  • Have a current National Police clearance certificate.
  • Have knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).
