Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced operations professional to join our team at the Portland site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring daily site operations are carried out safely and efficiently to meet customer expectations.

The role involves managing daily site operations, staff, and optimizing receival and shipping operations, cleaning and pest control activities. You will also coordinate the movement of commodities through the terminal.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates will have prior management experience with an understanding of either port operations or experience in a supply chain environment. They will also display:

  • Ability to liaise with customers and understand their requirements
  • Understanding of road, rail, and shipping
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office programs
  • General knowledge and understanding of OH&S and Work Cover legislation
  • Experience in operating machinery is highly beneficial
