Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of components for truck-mounted elevated work platforms (EWPs).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Fitting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical components and systems for EWPs.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise assembly and fitment of parts.
  • Operating lathes, milling machines, and other machinery to fabricate parts with tight tolerances.
  • Maintaining equipment reliability and longevity through routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnosing faults and malfunctions in mechanical systems and determining appropriate repair solutions.

You will collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and improve mechanical designs, ensuring all work meets industry safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Fitter and Turner, preferably with heavy machinery or truck-mounted EWPs.
  • Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and other precision machining tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Trade certification in fitting and turning or mechanical engineering is required.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and work in various conditions.
