Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned retail professional to take on the role of Store Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Adelaide, SA.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving store success and leading teams to achieve sales and profitability targets. They will be responsible for maximising stock efficiency, inspiring and leading a team of employees and volunteers, managing budgets and rosters, and building strong community connections.

About the Role
  • Lead retail operations to achieve sales and surplus targets.
  • Maximise stock efficiency by ordering, pricing, and displaying products according to industry standards.
  • Inspire and lead a team of employees and volunteers through regular training and performance feedback.
  • Manage budgets and rosters to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Buid a passionate and committed team through volunteer engagement initiatives.
  • Build strong community connections with local Salvation Army groups, councils, and community partners.
Requirements
  • Management experience in a retail setting.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Excellent people leadership and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience using Workday HCM system (highly regarded).
  • Alignment with The Salvation Army Mission and Values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
