About The Role
Ventia has been entrusted by the DJCS (Department of Justice and Community Safety) to deliver comprehensive Facility Management solutions that encompass both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services, alongside ancillary services such as cleaning, grounds maintenance, pest control, and waste management.
The Plumber will be an integral member of the team, operating within the Barwon Precinct (Lara, VIC region), responsible for executing planned, reactive, remedial, and miscellaneous maintenance tasks across various facilities.
We are also in search of Trade Assistants and Electrical / HVAC technicians to bolster our service capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a multi-skilled team to ensure the delivery of high-quality facility management and maintenance services.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance on hydraulic systems linked to large commercial properties.
- Detect and resolve plumbing and equipment faults in a timely manner.
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures, while responding to and diagnosing plumbing emergencies.
- Install minor plumbing infrastructure as required.
- Manage work orders for all completed tasks within stipulated timeframes.
- Uphold high standards of compliance and promote safety, health, environmental, and quality practices in all work.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess qualifications and experience as a Plumber, particularly in time-sensitive environments focused on both planned and reactive maintenance.
Essential qualifications include:
- Licensed Plumber with experience in large facilities and associated hydraulic systems.
- Proven experience in time-critical rectification and reporting.
- Ability to maintain scheduled work plans effectively.
- Commitment to high standards of compliance and safety, health, environmental, and quality practices.
- A current unrestricted driver's license.
- Ability to successfully complete a National Police Check and Medical examination.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations.
Desirable Qualifications:
- TMV and Backflow license.
- Gas fitting license.
- EWP - Scissor and boom lift license.
- Working at Height certification.
