Research Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to conduct research into sequential decision-making under uncertainty with a focus on biodiversity conservation.

About the Role
  • Conduct in-depth research into sequential decision-making approaches such as Markov Decision Processes, reinforcement learning, and adaptive management.
  • Publish high-impact research papers and collaborate across disciplines to deliver impactful results.
  • Teach subjects related to your research expertise contributing 20% of your time.
About You
  • You hold a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
  • You have demonstrated expertise in sequential decision-making approaches including Markov Decision Processes, reinforcement learning, deep learning, and adaptive management.
  • You possess a strong track record of research publications and experience working independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Your excellent communication skills and programming proficiency enable you to lead or contribute to impactful research initiatives.
