Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator

As a Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering person-centred leisure and lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.

  • Develop and implement engaging programs that foster social connections, emotional well-being, and cognitive stimulation among residents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless program delivery and maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring resident satisfaction and happiness.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, implement, and evaluate programs designed to meet individual resident needs.
  2. Develop and maintain dementia-specific programs to support behaviour management and promote dignity.
  3. Assist residents in achieving maximum independence, maintaining friendships, and participating in community activities.
  4. Ensure individual interests, customs, beliefs, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds are valued, fostered, and respected.
  5. Support volunteer recruitment and participation in operational meetings, planning days, and cross-service activities.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent).
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Current Covid-19 Vaccinations (highly recommended).
  • Evidence of the right to work in Australia (Valid working rights).
  • Experience in Aged Care, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the differing cognitive, social, spiritual, and cultural needs of residents.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and expected outcomes.
