A system engineer plays a pivotal role in optimizing and enhancing control systems for various industrial projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, ensuring that they can analyze customer requirements effectively and develop control system specifications accordingly.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer needs and create detailed control system plans to meet their expectations.
  • Design, develop, and test control systems that adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify issues within control systems, documenting findings and results comprehensively.
  • Provide support services, process investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives for existing systems.
  • Evaluate technical issues and escalate them to relevant teams as necessary.
  • Develop and implement bug fixes, design enhancements, and improvements to optimize system performance. Maintain accurate records of all modifications and updates to control systems.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to provide technical support for proposals and tenders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers by offering second-level technical support.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout the organization.

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our growing team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Electrical qualifications would be an advantage.
  • 3+ years of industrial experience with sound knowledge of at least one hardware platform and associated programming language – Beckhoff TwinCAT or Siemens S7.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematic drawings.
  • Proficiency in programming using structured text language (as defined in IEC61131), Siemens STL, and function block diagram.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Ethernet and modern field buses (EtherCAT, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, AS-i), AC drives, and HMI system design would be advantageous.
  • Practical experience of electrical/controls engineering & electrical installation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
