We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Researcher in Electrical Engineering to join our team at UNSW Australia. As a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, you will have the opportunity to develop your own research in the area of Electrical Engineering, as well as teach undergraduate and postgraduate classes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct high-quality research in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on teaching and learning design, development, and delivery.
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate classes in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on educational excellence and student engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and learning materials in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on industry relevance and student needs.
  • Engage with industry partners and stakeholders to develop research collaborations and projects in Electrical Engineering.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and funding applications in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on securing external funding.

Requirements

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a strong research background and teaching experience.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work in a team and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of students and staff.
