Primary Care Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to provide high-quality patient care in Cape York Peninsula. As a Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to patients in remote communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in a team-based environment
  • Collaborate with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers to promote health and wellbeing
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to manage illness and prevent disease

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Medicine with current unrestricted specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • FRACGP or FACRRM Fellowship
  • Current Medical Indemnity Insurance
  • Experience in or a demonstrated commitment to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes
