Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned compliance professional to lead our regional compliance function. As Regional Head of Compliance, you will play a pivotal leadership role in guiding a team of exceptional regional compliance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Regional Compliance Strategy: Develop and execute a regional compliance strategy aligned with the organization's vision, purpose, values, and goals.
  • Lead and Manage Team: Lead, manage, and develop the regional compliance function, setting consistent standards and providing business-oriented risk solutions.
  • Drive Performance and Efficiency: Drive performance, improvement, and efficiency in compliance processes using technology and data.
  • Manage Regulatory Risk: Manage regulatory risk, ensuring compliance with local regulations and global requirements, and aligning with risk appetite.
  • Identify and Mitigate Legislative and Regulatory Requirements: Identify, assess, and mitigate the impact of legislative and regulatory requirements, and assist with their implementation.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 10+ Years of Regulatory Compliance Experience: Demonstrated a minimum of 10 years of regulatory compliance experience with an OTC derivatives issuer (CFD's, leveraged FX) and AML/CTF experience in the financial services industry across multiple regions and over 2 years of managing a team.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Proven experience working under the following licences AU (AFSL licence), Dubai (DFSA licence), Kenya (CMA licence) and Bahamas (SCB licence).
  • Strong Understanding of Financial Services and AML/CTF Regulatory Environment: Strong understanding of the financial services and AML/CTF regulatory environment and licensing regimes.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven leadership and communications skills with a track record of success and achieving results while effectively advising the business on compliance matters.
