About the role

As a Field Service Technician, you will work independently to provide our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications and technology products and services in homes and businesses.

You'll be part of a diverse team environment, delivering optimal customer and commercial outcomes aligned with our corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver seamless service rectification and product installations to the full satisfaction of our customers.
  • Maintain and install copper cable, including fault finding, jointing, jumpering, and networking.
  • Manage fibre network technology, core network technology, and data services.
  • Perform customer premises equipment maintenance and installation.
  • Fault find over copper networks in rural or remote settings.

Qualifications:

You'll need to hold and maintain relevant licenses and qualifications, as deemed mandatory by regulatory and legal authorities, and a current driver's license.

  • Certificate III in Telecommunications
  • Open cabling license
  • Traffic management qualifications
  • Industry white card

Telstra can support you through training on traffic management and white card certificates. This role requires successful candidates to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our people and customers.
