Job Title: Environmental and Social Specialist

The assignment involves supporting the implementation and monitoring of technical, financial, economic, environmental, and social feasibility studies for a multi-purpose port and associated infrastructure in Kiritimati Island.

The primary objective is to facilitate the construction and operation of the port and its associate infrastructure, accommodating cargo from various vessels as well as cruise liners for tourism.

Key Qualifications:

  • A university degree in engineering, environmental, or social sciences
  • Fluency in English
  • At least ten years of experience in environmental or social management
  • Experience on at least two infrastructure projects

Additional Marks:

  • Candidates with knowledge of the region and experience working on ports and harbours infrastructure projects will receive additional marks

Position Requirements:

The position requires a mid-senior level expert with a contract employment type and consulting job function focusing on international affairs.
