About The Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wait Staff member at The Shoreline. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a high standard of dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the servery for use and ensure a clean and organized environment for our residents.
  • Check current stock in the fridge and freezer, and restock as needed to maintain a high level of service.
  • Collect and review meal sheets to ensure accurate ordering and special requirements are met.
  • Serve and present hot meals in line with our Chef's instructions, maintaining a high level of presentation and quality.
  • Clean and maintain the servery between meals, including wiping down tables, clearing dirty plates and trays, and washing up.
  • Close down the servery and return unused hot meals to the kitchen.
  • Deliver meals and refreshments to residents' rooms, ensuring a high level of service and attention to detail.
  • Assist in the coffee shop as required, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of our food service team.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated empathy and commitment to the care of older people
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in delivering exceptional customer centred service outcomes
  • Ability to demonstrate kindness and empathy across all channels and model behaviours that align with our vision and values
  • Understanding of the ageing process and a commitment to advocate for older people in residential care and/or home care
  • Police check clearance and up-to-date vaccination
