Motor Vehicle Technician

As a skilled Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of motor vehicles by performing mechanical servicing duties. This includes testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting major faults, as well as repairing or replacing worn and faulty parts.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Test and diagnose issues with engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems using diagnostic equipment.
- Repair or replace damaged components, including engine parts, transmission systems, and suspension units.
- Inspect and test electrical systems, including lighting and ignition systems.
- Collaborate with other mechanics to complete complex repairs and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- AQF Certificate III & IV in a related field.
- At least 12 months of experience in a commercial workshop setting.
- Knowledge of Intercontinental, European, and Asian car makes.
- Experience working with diesels, AWDs, 4WDs, Hybrid, and EV vehicles.
- Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and use hand and power tools effectively.
- Capacity to solve complex problems and provide suitable resolutions.
- Excellent work ethic and ability to strive for goals.
- Hold a current driver's license and able to drive manual cars.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Provide verifiable work references.
