About the Role

This 12-month role commencing in February 2026 offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain experience in various mental health settings, including inpatient, residential, and community services. With a protected workload, weekly supervision, and regular educational opportunities, you will be supported in your transition to mental health practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a team environment to provide high-quality social work services to individuals and groups
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of clients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Required Skills and Qualifications

We anticipate that you will have:

  • A Bachelor or qualifying Master's degree in social work enabling eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • A sound understanding and interest in the provision of social work services to people with mental health issues
  • Knowledge of current social work practices relevant to mental health and an ability to articulate theoretical basis for practice
