About the Position

We are seeking an Early Childhood Coordinator to work across the service system, enhancing relationships and networks with early years and health services.

  • This is a full-time position, with a salary range of $97,378 - $101,788 + Superannuation.
  • The position is government-funded until 30 June 2026, with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create stronger two-way referral pathways with child health and education services for families with children 0-5 years old.
  • Collaborate with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse organizations to address barriers at a systemic level.
  • Attend regular stakeholder, network meetings, and workshops to promote PELD services.
About You
  • You will have a tertiary degree in a community development, social work, or human services related field.
  • You will have at least 3 years' experience working within a community development sector, with highly developed knowledge of child protection issues and the child protection sector in Queensland.
  • You will have an understanding of Community Development and Ecological Systems theories, collective impact, and a demonstrated ability to build social capital within the community context.
  • You will have experience and capacity to work collaboratively and foster and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and the community.
Other Requirements
  • You will be eligible for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
  • You will have a current driver's licence.
  • You will be legally able to work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
