About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Aide to join our team in Carnarvon. As a Care Aide, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to our clients, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence.

Responsibilities include a range of personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, toileting etc. and other support services like medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic assistance/general housekeeping tasks and social support in the community.

You will follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, therefore having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously, via a mobile app, is essential.

Servicing the following areas: Babbage Island, Brockman, Brown Range, Carnarvon, East Carnarvon, Greys Plain, Inggarda, Kingsford, Massey Bay, Morgantown, North Plantations, South Carnarvon, South Plantations.

About You
  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, Disability or relevant qualification is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Those with a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 3 months relevant care worker experience. Those without a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 6+ months relevant care worker experience (FTE).
  • Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid Drivers' License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, will be essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.
