Lead Financial Specialist

As a seasoned financial professional, you will play a pivotal role in the finance team. This exciting opportunity involves providing expert financial guidance and support to key stakeholders, requiring effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide insightful financial information and advice to business development and bidding managers, including identifying and implementing improvements to financial reporting and processes
  • Coordinate and manage budget and forecast processes with functional budget owners, including analysis of revenue and costs
  • Regularly review and analyse costs against bid budgets and distribution of cost reports to key stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Offer comprehensive finance support to bid/business development teams and ensure all compliance and approvals are met
  • Manage WBS code creation and ensure effective cost controls are in place
  • Ensure purchase requisitions are raised accurately and in a timely manner and within approved limits, including receipting of invoices
  • Monitor cashflow related to tenders, ensuring proper invoicing, collections, and payment terms are established
  • Ensure that all joint venture partner reporting requirements are met in accordance with relevant joint venture agreements
  • Responsible for month end reporting and ensuring accruals and period-end journals are processed accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • 4-5 years experience in a senior accounting role
  • Previous experience within a corporate construction environment would be advantageous
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is desired
  • Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting or equivalent
