Cloud Transformation Specialist

This role involves leading large-scale cloud transformation projects, working with clients across various sectors including government, defence and finance. We are looking for a specialist who can drive automation, security and compliance initiatives.

The Role:

An IT consulting firm is seeking a Cloud Transformation Specialist to lead secure, scalable multi-cloud solutions for high-profile clients. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical projects in a flexible work environment that supports professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Azure, AWS and hybrid environments.
  • Lead Infrastructure as Code delivery using Terraform, Bicep and CloudFormation.
  • Drive automation and CI/CD optimisation with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Embed Zero Trust models and compliance frameworks (Essential Eight, IRAP, GDPR, PCI DSS).
  • Deliver high-impact cloud migration and transformation projects.
  • Mentor engineers and uplift governance via reusable templates and standardised policies.
  • Support FinOps and cost optimisation initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in cloud architecture and infrastructure delivery.
  • Proven experience across Azure and AWS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks in regulated environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with DevOps tools, automation and observability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-500 or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
  • Baseline security clearance (or ability to obtain).
