Job Overview

The role will oversee the group function responsible for financial planning, analysis and budgeting. Key deliverables include preparation of annual Budget and quarterly forecast process, partnering with business to drive strategic decisions and managing forecasting and budget drivers across executive level.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of key deliverables and analysis related to Group's annual Budget and quarterly forecast process for Group Management and the Board;
  2. Partner with Business to drive business outcomes including insights, analysis and recommendations that will drive strategic decisions;
  3. Managing forecasting and budget drivers across Executive level and working with Heads of;
  4. Business Plan and Budget Preparation with a focus on Drivers;
  5. Assist with implementation of business intelligence tools for real-time financial reporting and analytics providing management with timely insights for informed decision-making;
  6. Development of dashboards and KPIs for tracking financial performance and monitoring business health;
  7. Working with auditors on documentation required to support FP&A/Operational side of Financial Audit;
  8. Communicate results and recommendations to Senior Management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining of operations;
  9. Responsible for financial modelling, including capital modelling, scenario modelling and other ad-hoc modelling requirements across the Group;
  10. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key Business partners/Stakeholders (seek and provide regular feedback to improve efficiency and drive value creation);
  11. Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions Build business case acumen across the company;
  12. Recruitment, management and development of a Treasury Accountant;
  13. Develop strategic insights and analysis that support Business Plan and/or strategic projects across the Business as required;
  14. Work closely with Finance team on areas needed for support including Month End.
Requirements
  • Significant budgeting, forecasting experience ideally in a group function;
  • Worked within large, complex Businesses (ideally within Capital intense industries, such as Energy, Utilities, Infrastructure, Mining or Property);
  • Exposure to Treasury, coupled with strong modelling skills would also be advantageous;
  • Recognised qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commercial coupled with CA / CPA (or equivalent).
