We're seeking a highly skilled Functions and Events Manager to join our team at Matthews Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:- Event Coordination: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored solutions to ensure seamless event execution.
- Logistics Management: Oversee the coordination of services, including displays, audio-visual equipment, and catering, ensuring smooth event operations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a high-performing team to deliver premium service and uphold high food and beverage standards.
- Client Relations: Build strong rapport with clients, addressing their needs promptly and ensuring complete satisfaction before, during, and after events.
- Financial Management: Oversee event budgets, ensure accurate invoicing, and manage departmental expenses.
- Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and special offers, driving sales and repeat clientele.
- A proactive leader with a passion for hospitality and events.
- Minimum five years experience in similar roles.
- Strong commercial understanding and the ability to drive sales and ensure repeat clientele.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, as well as the ability to learn and use multiple software systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Experience in managing large-scale events and functions.
