Job Description

We are seeking a qualified professional to work with vulnerable children, young people and families in a supportive environment.


The ideal candidate will have experience working within child protection, placement and support services and/or family service systems with demonstrated understanding of the relevant legislative and policy frameworks.


The selected applicant will be responsible for providing counseling to LGBTIQA+ individuals and their families/support networks, as well as secondary consultation to other community-based services across the state.


The role is focused on improving safety, security and mental health and wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ individuals, as well as enhancing family relationships, community connections, cohesion and support.


The successful candidate will also work closely with other service providers to ensure an integrated provision of services and equity of access to services.


Furthermore, they will contribute to building LGBTIQA+ awareness and capacity within our organization and the local community.
