Special Education Teacher Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing educational experiences that meet the diverse needs of students.

Your primary responsibility will be to instruct individuals and groups in special education skill areas, using a range of teaching methods and materials to cater to different learning styles.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Instructing students with varying levels of ability and need
  • Developing and implementing individualized lesson plans to meet student goals
  • Evaluating student progress through regular assessments and observations
  • Maintaining a well-organized and inclusive classroom environment
  • Fostering effective communication with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid teaching certificate with Special Education certification
  • CPI training or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in administering assessments, documenting student progress, and developing IEPs
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues and communicating with parents
  • Able to facilitate meetings and provide support to general education teachers

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Special Education rules and regulations, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
